1. Overview

This policy explains how Melovance handles personal data when you visit the website, create an account, or use the application and its practice features.

2. Data we collect

Depending on how you use Melovance, we may process:

  • account details such as your email address, display name, avatar, license tier, and authentication records
  • practice-session details such as song title, composer, instrument, timestamps, duration, and session status
  • performance data and analysis inputs you choose to submit for practice coaching
  • AI usage records, service diagnostics, device or browser information, and security logs
  • first-party interaction events, such as download clicks, only when you consent to usage measurement

3. How we use data

We use data to:

  • provide accounts, practice history, analysis, and coaching features
  • secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve Melovance
  • apply plan limits and prevent misuse
  • respond to support requests and meet legal obligations

4. AI processing

When you request AI-assisted practice analysis or speech, relevant performance data and prompts may be sent to the configured AI service provider to generate the requested result.

We limit this processing to what is needed to provide the feature and maintain service records such as request counts, token use, and cost.

5. Payment processing

All payments are handled by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy.

When you start or manage a paid subscription, Lemon Squeezy may collect:

  • your email address
  • billing information
  • payment details
  • tax and transaction information
  • subscription status and billing history

This data is processed according to Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

We receive subscription identifiers, status updates, plan information, and related account data needed to attach your subscription to your Melovance account and keep access in sync.

6. Cookies and browser storage

Melovance uses strictly necessary cookies or storage for secure sign-in, account sessions, and remembering your consent choice.

Optional first-party usage measurement remains disabled unless you choose Accept in the privacy settings. Melovance does not currently use third-party advertising cookies through this consent wall.

7. Sharing and retention

We may use service providers for hosting, databases, authentication, email, AI processing, and operational support. They process data only to provide those services under their own contractual and legal obligations.

We retain personal data only for as long as needed to provide the service, protect it, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time.

You can reject optional measurement in the consent wall without affecting essential account functionality.
